This workshop, titled “Next-Gen Research: Transformative Approaches to Methodology,” aims to address the evolving challenges and opportunities in research by introducing participants to innovative and multidisciplinary methodologies that align with contemporary global standards.

Report on the One-Day National Workshop on Research Methodology

Introduction

In the ever-evolving landscape of academia and research, the need for innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to methodology has become crucial. Recognizing this necessity, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, in collaboration with Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College, Arjuni Morgaon, Dist. Gondia, organized a One-Day National Workshop on Research Methodology on 4th February 2025. This workshop aimed at addressing contemporary research challenges while equipping participants with cutting-edge methodological tools.

Research serves as the foundation of academic, scientific, and social advancements. In the dynamic 21st-century research landscape, scholars and practitioners must be well-versed in modern research tools and techniques. The workshop, themed “Next-Gen Research: Transformative Approaches to Methodology,” focused on fostering innovation, bridging the gap between theory and practice, and promoting ethical research practices in line with global standards.

The workshop commenced with a formal inaugural session through video message by Dr. Rajendra Kakade, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, as the Inaugurator. The chairperson of the workshop was Shri. Lunkaran Chitlange, President, Shri Durga Shikshan Sanstha, Arjuni Morgaon.

Introductory Remarks: Mr. Laxmikant Kapgate, Convenor of the National Workshop, set the tone of the workshop with his introductory remarks. Dr. Ishwar Mohurley welcomed all the participants and shared his insights on the importance of research methodology. As a keynote speaker, Dr. Sanjay Dhobale, Senior Scientist & Professor, Dept. of Physics, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, has shared his expertise on research methodology. Shri. B R Jaiswal, Vice President, Shri Durga Shikshan Sanstha, Arjuni Morgaon.

The dignitaries emphasized the significance of research methodology in shaping future research outcomes and the role of transformative approaches in academia.

The workshop featured engaging technical sessions led by esteemed resource persons:

  1. Prof. Vivek Joshi, Professor, Postgraduate Teaching Department of English, Gondwana University, Gadchiroli (MS), has delivered his talk o Multidisciplinary Approaches in Research Methodology.
  2. Dr. Dhananjay Gahane, Principal, Nevajabai Hitkarini College, Bramhapuri, Dist. Chandrapur (MS), has delivered his talk on Multidisciplinary Approaches in Research Methodology and Computer Applications.
  3. Dr. Devdatta Tare, Postgraduate Teaching Department of Commerce, Gondwana University, Gadchiroli (MS), has shared his ideas on ethical and sustainable research practices.

Each session provided insightful discussions on modern research methodologies, ethical considerations, and interdisciplinary collaboration, significantly enriching the knowledge base of the participants.

Participation and Engagement

The workshop witnessed an overwhelming response with 340 participants, including faculty members from various institutions, PhD research scholars, and postgraduate students. Interactive Q&A sessions allowed participants to clarify their doubts and gain deeper insights into research methodologies. The one-day National Workshop on Research Methodology was a resounding success, providing valuable insights into next-generation research methodologies. The workshop effectively achieved its objectives of equipping participants with transformative approaches to research, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and promoting ethical research practices. The enthusiastic participation of scholars and faculty members, along with the engaging sessions by distinguished resource persons, made this event a milestone in the academic community.
