The Department of Botany organised a one-day tour on March 25, 2022, at Ghodezari Lake, Tah-NNagbhid, Dist. Chandrapur. A total of 66 students from Sem IV and Sem VI participated. The students collected and identified algae, bryophytes, lichens, and angiosperm plants. Along with students, three teachers, namely Dr. L. N. Borkar , Mr. K. S. Lokhande and Mr. D. V. Bawankude, and one attendant, Smt. Sunita Tawade, were present.
The entire team viewed the location, and the professors encouraged students to collect algae, bryophytes, lichens, and angiosperm plants for the development of a herbarium. During the excursion trip, learners were encouraged to join in the discussion and were taught the process of identification of flora in the field.
