One-Day National Level Online Workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Patents and Design Process”

Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal Arts, Commerce and Science College Arjuni/Mor. Dist. Gondia In association with Rajiv Gandhi National institute of Intellectual Property management (RGNIIPM) Government of India, Nagpur organises one day online workshop on “Intellectual property Rights (IPR) Patents and Design Process” on 7 th April 2022.
It was presided over by Principal Ishwar Mohurle. The introductory speech was made by Dr. Dwarpal Chaudhari. In the introduction, he explained the role of the workshop. The keynote speaker of the workshop was Pooja Maulikar. In it, she gave information about intellectual property rights, basic concepts and their types. Also share information on patents, designs, trademarks, working methods to get it, etc. Also provided detailed and in-depth guidance on the matter.
In detail she explain about copyright. As the number of patents in India is less than in other countries, students should study various issues in their rural areas and get patents on them, said Dr. Mohurle, Principal of the College in his Presidential address. Research work has also found an important place in new education policies. Therefore, students should cultivate research tendency, he said.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Dwarpal Chaudhari and show of gratitude Performed by Dr. Nitin Vilayatkar. About 400 students from various colleges and teachers and non- teaching staff participated in this workshop in a virtual manner.

 

Event outcomes

  • Students learned the basics of IPR, its types, and its importance.
  • Students came to know the patent design, filing process and copyright.
