Event briefs

The workshop on Reference Management Tools was held on 11th December 2023, at 11:10 AM, organized jointly by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Department of English. The workshop aims to empower participants with the knowledge and skills required to manage references effectively, thereby enhancing the quality of their research work. Mr. Laxmikant Kapgate, Department of English, SS Jaiswal College, Arjuni Morgaon, served as the resource person. His expertise in the field and practical insights into reference management tools added substantial value to the workshop. Mr. Laxmikant Kapgate covered the workshop’s central topics, including Zotero, Endnote, Mendeley, and Refman, providing a comprehensive understanding of each tool’s features and applications.

Dr. K J Sibi, IQAC Coordinator,  delivered an enlightening introductory remark emphasizing the significance of the workshop and its relevance in the academic domain. Dr. Ishwar Mohurley, Principal,  presided over the event, providing valuable guidance and support. he appreciated the effort and initiatives taken by the organizers and also urged the audience to use technological tools in their research work. Miss. Swati Madavi, serving as the session convener, drew insightful comparisons, linking the workshop’s content to its practical applications in research. The workshop witnessed active participation from teachers, postgraduate students, and research scholars, creating a diverse and engaged audience.

The workshop on Reference Management Tools proved to be an enriching experience for all participants, offering a deeper understanding of the tools essential for effective reference management in research. The collaboration between the IQAC and the Department of English facilitated a well-rounded event, contributing significantly to the academic development of attendees.
