About the department

The department of Chemistry was established in 2008. The built up area of the department is about 1350 sq. feet. with a capacity of 50 students. Department offers B.Sc. course at the undergraduate level through semester pattern as per the guidelines from R.T.M.N.U Nagpur. The Department runs three years B.Sc. Degree (CBS pattern) with six semesters, B.Sc. with four subject combinations Chemistry Botany Zoology (CBZ), Physics Chemistry Mathematics (PCM), Chemistry Microbiology Zoology (CMZ) and Chemistry Microbiology Botany (CMB). Students are admitted to the B.Sc. course on the basis of their percentages in the HSSC. Chemistry is a common subject in the faculty. It is also closely related to daily life. The aim is to make students and society understand the role and contribution of Chemistry in the present day science and technology.
