Library

Library is the heart and sole of the institution. The college library established in 1990. We have a very valuable collection in our library in i.e. text books, reference books and other books. Reference book includes Dictionaries (Mono lingual, Bilingual and Multilingual), Encyclopedias (Britannia Encyclopedia in 32 volumes, Shakespearean Survey in 38 volumes, International encyclopedia of Language and Linguistics in 14 volumes, New Standard encyclopedia in 17 volumes, etc), Gazetteers (The encyclopaedic District Gagetteer of India, Maharashtra State Gazetteer Nagpur District, etc, Year books India, Maharashtra, Manorama, etc) ,University reprts, National and International journals (in Marathi and English languages), News papers (in Marathi, Hindi & English languages.) etc. We have a special collection on Marathi dialect (Zadi Patti Marathi) language. Collection on various books of different subjects that offered the curriculum in sufficient number. Total collection of Books as on 17.11.2022 is 16485. We have a well spacious reading room with a sitting capacity of 50 readers. Users can get optimum use of library material and get benefit by using his/ her spare time in the reading room.

By using Lib Man software (Master Software), accessioning, invoicing and circulation of books are functioning with the help of this software. OPAC and MOPAC are introduced to users of our college to collect or search the details on current library collection and status of books.

Working hours of library

Monday to Friday : 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

Saturday : 9:30am to 2:30 pm

Sunday and holidays closed.

Library has various sections and facilities like OPAC Section, Reference book Section, Books Circulation section, Printing and Reprographic Section, New books arrivals display section, Journals / periodicals display section, Reading room Section (for students only), Study room Section (For staff and others) etc. Our library also provides internet and photocopy facility to users. Library has newspaper reading tables and Network Resource Centre at the entrance of the library with computers those are connected in LAN and internet. By using these computers, our user searches various information regarding employment, post-graduation entrance exam, competitive examinations, data regarding assignments given by teachers and other educational task. We have a E-library in the form of INFONET (INFLIBNET – NLIST). Library organizes an orientation session for the new students to aware all functioning of the library. On the birthday of Dr. S. R. Rangnathan and Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, our library celebrate it by organizing book exhibition in the Library. We also provide the audio visual services to our users.

For the smooth functioning of the library and optimum use of resources of library, we have a library committee.

General rules regarding use of library, book circulation section and reading room are displayed on the wall of the library near by the book circulation window.

Student of the institution help to the library for the management of the barcode to the respective books under Learn and Earn scheme.

LIBRARY SOFTWARE

The college library has been using Master Software`s libman software for library. Some library activities like accessioning as well as circulation of books process are performed by Libman software. OPAC, MOPAC and library visitor management facilities are also provided by Libman Software.

OPAC (On Line Access Catalogue)

Libman software provides the facility to users that by using OPAC facility, they can gather details on current library collection & books status.

MOPAC (Mobile Online Access Catalogue)

In the current scenario Libman software provides remote access facility like MOPAC which helps the users to get benefits of OPAC by using android mobile like to search details on current library collection & books status.

Library visitors Management

By scanning the QR code displayed on the entrance of the Library Reading Room, users can check in & check out in to the Library Reading Room and mark his digital attendance / visit in library to get benefits of Library Leading Room.
