The Teachers’ Day and Induction Program 2025 was celebrated with remarkable warmth and enthusiasm at Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College today, marking a memorable beginning to the new academic year. Organized under the leadership of the National Service Scheme (NSS), the event welcomed students of the first and second years from the BA, B.Com, and B.Sc streams into a lively seminar hall filled with anticipation and energy.
Dr Ashish Kawale, NSS Program Officer, has explained the aim, objectives, and need to organize the program in his introductory remark. Setting an uplifting tone for the occasion, Principal Dr. Ishwar Mohurley, along with distinguished faculty members, addressed the gathering and motivated students and staff to embrace the academic journey ahead with dedication and unity. The program was enriched by insightful speeches from eminent faculty members representing different streams. Dr. Darve provided valuable insight into the Arts faculty, offering students guidance for their academic path. Dr. Borkar highlighted the significant changes introduced by the National Education Policy (NEP) in the Commerce stream, while Dr. Vilayatkar discussed innovations being implemented under NEP 2020 in the Science faculty. These addresses helped students understand the relevance of the reforms in shaping their future learning.
Further, Smt. Wasnik shared vital information on scholarship opportunities and examination guidelines, ensuring that newcomers felt supported in navigating institutional processes. Adding to this, Dr. K. J. Sibi discussed the vision and mission of NEP 2020, inspiring students to adapt positively to reforms designed to enhance quality education. The ceremonial proceedings opened with a spirited introduction by Dr. Ashish Kawale and were anchored seamlessly under the leadership of Dr. Swati Madavi as compere.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Pankaj Ukey, who expressed deep gratitude to the organizers and volunteers, including Mr. Ankit Nakade, Dr. Swati Madavi, Dr. Laxmikant Kapgate, and enthusiastic student coordinators such as Astha, Riya, Krish, Ruchika, Shalini, and Kundani.
