Arjuni Morgaon: Research is not just about inquiry; it is about evolution, adaptation, and transformation. Recognizing this, Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College, Arjuni Morgaon, in collaboration with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, hosted a One-Day National Workshop on Research Methodology on February 4, 2025. Themed “Next-Gen Research: Transformative Approaches to Methodology,” the event served as a crucial platform for scholars and researchers to explore modern tools and ethical frameworks essential for contemporary academia.
The highlight of the workshop was the keynote address by Dr. Sanjay Dhoble, an eminent researcher and Professor in the Department of Physics. With deep insight, Dr. Dhoble stressed that adopting transformative methodologies is no longer a matter of choice but a necessity. He emphasized that in an era of rapid knowledge expansion, researchers must embrace innovative approaches to stay relevant and contribute meaningfully to the academic discourse.
Setting the stage for the event, Mr. Laxmikant Kapgate, the Workshop Convenor, provided an overview of the event’s objectives and its significance in today’s research landscape. The workshop featured three insightful technical sessions led by distinguished scholars: Prof. Vivek Joshi, from the Postgraduate Teaching Department of English, Gondwana University, led an engaging session on “Why, What, When to Write: Writing Your Research.” He shared practical insights and anecdotes that resonated with attendees, making the discussion on academic writing both enriching and accessible. Dr. Devdatta Tare, from the Postgraduate Teaching Department of Commerce, Gondwana University, delved into “Research Philosophy and Publication Ethics,” shedding light on the fundamental principles guiding scholarly publications and the ethical dilemmas researchers often encounter. Dr. Dhananjay Gahane, Principal of Nevajabai Hitkarini College, Bramhapuri, explored “Multidisciplinary Approaches in Research Methodology and Computer Applications.” His session provided a comprehensive overview of data management and processing, a crucial aspect of modern research.
With over 340 participants, the workshop fostered dynamic discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, and meaningful exchanges of ideas. A dedicated team of organizers, including Dr. K. J. Sibi, Dr. Sharad Meshram, Dr. Amol Shyamkuwar, Dr. Ashish Kawale, Dr. Manoj Bangadkar, Ajay Raut, Ankit Nakade, Mohan Dhuratkar, Kailash Lokhande, Rajesh Dongarwar, and the active participation of student members from The Literary Nexus, played an instrumental role in ensuring the seamless execution of the event.
