Event briefs

On October 4, 2023 Department of Physics, Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College, Arjuni/Morgaon Dist-Gondia conducted hands-on training program on power supply design, enriching Physics students with practical skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly propel their academic and professional careers forward. The programme is chair by the Prof. I. S. Mohurley, Principal of the College and Resource person of the programme, Dr. D.L. Chaudhari, Head of the Department of Physics, Mr. P. N. Ukey, Assistant Professor Physics, Mr. Sumedh Meshram CHB Lecturer were present. The program’s curriculum was thoughtfully crafted to ensure students grasped fundamental concepts while gaining hands-on experience. Key topics covered included: Basics of Power Supply, Design Components and Circuits in Power Electronics, Safety Protocols and Compliance, Practical Design Challenges, Building Functional Power Supplies. The Student participants eagerly embraced the opportunity to construct power supplies from scratch under the guidance of Dr. D. L. Chaudhari. The highlight of the event was the hands-on lab sessions, where students meticulously assembled and tested their power supply designs, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. It’s essential for them to experience the practical side of Physics and this workshop has been a remarkable success. It’s anticipated that the knowledge and experience acquired in this workshop will be invaluable as they progress in their academic and professional journeys. The success of the hands-on training program at reflects the importance of practical education in shaping the science of tomorrow. This programme is anchored by Mr. Pratik Chauhan and Vote of Thanks proposed by Chhakuli Gajapure.  Efforts are taken from Faculties of the Department of Physics, Dr. G. T. Paliwal HoD Zoology, Mr. Badal Lade Lab Attendant, Gajanan Kolhe and Students for the successes of the Hands on training Programme.
