About the department

  • The department opened its doors for the first time in 2008 with the introduction of science faculty
  • The department has well equipped, spacious, ICT – enabled laboratory with advanced instrumentation
  • The department has well-qualified, experienced faculties in teaching as well as in research areas
  • To promote training in practical and conceptual skills in sub-disciplines ranging from invertebrates, vertebrates, and molecular cell biology, through physiology and Endocrinology, to the study of populations in both an ecological and evolutionary framework.

  • The Department runs Three Years undergraduate program with Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology and Chemistry/Microbiology/Zoology groups

  • The department is dedicated to pass on the knowledge of Zoology to the young minds.
  • Zoology involves determinations of the structure, function, and interspecific relationships between different animals.
  • A primary goal of zoologists is to understand the origin and evolution of different species of animals.
  • Department is engaged in Environment, Nature & Wildlife conservation  related activities in collaboration with Government & Non Government agencies.
  • The department is running one certificate course.

 

  • Department actively participates in EIA studies, Environmental, Wildlife conservation with the involvement of students.
  • Engaged in field based  participative learning.
  • Department is  running Certificate Course in Vermicomposting Technology.
  • Department is actively involved in  Plastic free campaign through “S.S.J. SAFAI BANK”.
