As per the curriculum of R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur we organize study tour to Govt. Tasar Sericulture Center, Arjuni (Mor) for the students of
Semester- V (Zoology) on dated 30.11.2021. During the tour 52 students were accompanied by Dr. G. T. Paliwal, Dr. M.K. Bangadkar & Mr. R.Y. Dongarwar. During this students experienced the field based practical knowledge about the tasar sericulture including grainage technology, post cocoon processing and actual rearing of silkworm.
The process of grainage technology was demonstrated to the students by Mrs. Lange & other officials. In post cocoon processing unit after demonstration students practically learned the process of stifling & reeling of silk. In the rearing field located near the Arattondi villege, the actual rearing & handling of the different stages of the silkworm was demonstrated by skilled farmers.
Dr. Ashvin Chandel, Principal & Shri Ajay Raut, Librarian of our college also visited the center & encourages the student by their guidance. Shri Ajay Raut Sir offered the Sericulture rearing handbook to all the students.
