Dr Shubhash Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor of RTMNU, delivered an inspiring keynote address, highlighting the significance of skill-based education in today’s competitive world. He emphasized the need for creative industries to flourish and applauded the collaboration between Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College and Samta Foundation in bringing this laboratory to fruition.
The inauguration ceremony of the Fashion Designing Laboratory, Free eye check-up camp for students and parents and registration and Distribution of Ayushman Bharat Cards took place at Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College in Arjuni Morgaon on 1st July 2023. The laboratory was initiated through a collaboration between the college and the renowned Samta Foundation, Mumbai with generous sponsorship from Ajanta Pharma on the centenary celebration year of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. The event was graced by the presence of Hon. Dr. Shubhash Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor, RTMNU, Mr. Purushottam Agrawal, Founder and Principal Trustee of Samta Foundation. This collaboration ensures that students receive high-quality training and exposure to industry best practices, opening doors to diverse opportunities in the fashion industry. Shri. Lunkaran Chitlanje, President, Shri Durga Shikshan Sanstha, Dr Bhushan Mahajan, Dr Prakash Itanakar, Dr Nishikant Raut, Priyanka Ghule, management secretary Shri Mukesh Jaiswal, Dr. Kailash Gadekar, Dr Ishwar Mohurley, Principal were present on this occasion. Dr Shubhash Chaudhary, VC, RTMNU and Dr Purushottam Agrawal were felicitated with mementoes and floral bouquets.
In the introductory remark, Prof. Ishwar Mohurley, the Principal, expressed his views and shared the background of this event. He has also shown his determination to organize activities through Samta Foundation throughout the year. The inauguration ceremony was a momentous occasion marked by enthusiasm and anticipation. Honourable Mr Purushottam Agrawal, Founder and Principal Trustee of Samta Foundation, expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders for making the course a reality. He emphasized the foundation’s commitment to empowering students through education and providing them with avenues to explore their creative potential. The partnership between the foundation and the college aims to ensure a transformative learning experience for the students and equip them with the skills required to excel in the fashion industry.
Shri Lunkaran Chitlange congratulated the team of Samta Foundation for their outstanding activities for the welfare of society. He has also thanked for selectingthe college for the inauguration of one of the first Fashion Designing Laboratory in the centenary celebration year of RTMNU.
The fashion Designing Lab has been established with 16 sewing machines and a trainer has been appointed. During the Free Eye Check-up Camp, more than 145 students and parents benefited. The spectacles and operations of the penurious people will be carried out very soon by the Samta Foundation. Also, more than 100 Ayushman Baharat Cards were distributed to the students and parents. On 1st July 2023, tree plantation drive was organized by the NSS unit of the college in association with Samta Foundation.
The program was compared by Dr Sharad Meshram and Dr MR Darve proposed a vote of thanks. Ravindra Garje, Smita Kamble, Dr Ashish Kawale, and Laxmikant Kapgate worked hard for the grand success of this event.
