The Literary Nexus Organises ‘In Conversation with the Writer’ (Book ‘Rangoshthi’, Based on Experiences in Nagzira Forest, Released)

“We must learn kindness from nature,” observed renowned naturalist, writer, ornithologist, educator and conservationist Mr. Kiran Purandare during the literary programme ‘In Conversation with the Writer’, organised by The Literary Nexus, an initiative of the Departments of English and Marathi, Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College, Arjuni Morgaon.
A major highlight of the programme was the release of Purandare’s book ‘Rangoshthi’, which brings together stories and narrative writings inspired by his experiences in the forests of Nagzira. Drawing on his encounters with the forest and its natural surroundings, the book offers readers glimpses into the richness of wildlife and the fascinating experiences associated with nature. The work also encourages readers to appreciate the natural world and develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between humans and their environment.
Under the initiative of The Literary Nexus, with the objective of fostering literary awareness, encouraging reading habits, and promoting meaningful interaction between readers and writers. The programme featured renowned writer, naturalist, ornithologist, educator and conservationist Mr. Kiran Purandare, whose literary contributions and work in nature conservation have inspired readers and environmental enthusiasts. The programme was graced by Shri Mukesh Jaiswal, President of Shri Durga Shikshan Sanstha; Prof. Bharat Rathod, Offig. Principal, Dr. Laxmikant Kapgate, Coordinator of IQAC and Convener of The Literary Nexus; Dr. Sharad Meshram, Professor and Head of the Department of Marathi; Dr. K. J. Sibi, Head of the Department of English; Dr. Swati Madavi, Assistant Professor, Department of English; and Mr. T. S. Chandewar, Assistant Professor, Department of Marathi.
In his introductory remarks, Dr. Sharad Meshram outlined the objectives of The Literary Nexus and emphasised its role in fostering literary sensibility, encouraging reading habits, and providing students with opportunities for creative expression and intellectual exchange. Dr. Laxmikant Kapgate urged students to actively participate in the various literary activities organised by the forum throughout the academic year. Prof. Bharat Rathod appreciated the initiative and congratulated the Departments of English and Marathi for organising such a meaningful programme. Ku. Lochana Sonwane compered the proceedings Ku. Jyoti Nandanwar proposed the vote of thanks. Teachers from nearby junior colleges and officials from forest department were present on this occasion.
