Arjuni Mor: A comprehensive and student-centric guidance program on “Mind Power and Focus Training” was organised with great enthusiasm at Shivprasad Sadanand Jaiswal College under the banner of “The Literary Nexus.” The initiative was jointly organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Departments of English and Marathi, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic student development. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ishwar Mohurle, whose vision emphasizes both academic excellence and mental well-being.
The highlight of the program was the insightful session delivered by the keynote speaker and trainer, Mr. Pravin Uke. In his address, he elaborated on the concept of mind power and its crucial role in shaping an individual’s personality and success. He stressed the importance of concentration in academic and personal life, explaining how a focused mind can significantly enhance productivity and decision-making abilities. Mr. Uke provided a detailed explanation of the conscious and subconscious mind, illustrating how thoughts and beliefs influence actions and outcomes. He also spoke about the immense power of imagination and how it can be harnessed to achieve goals.
Further, he shared practical techniques and strategies to improve concentration, including mental exercises, visualization methods, and disciplined thinking patterns. He encouraged students to identify their inherent strengths and align them with their skills to unlock their full potential. His interactive and engaging approach kept the audience involved throughout, creating a highly motivating and energetic atmosphere.
In the introductory address, Dr. Laxmikant Kapgate, Coordinator of IQAC and Convener of The Literary Nexus, clearly outlined the objectives of the program. He emphasized that the initiative aimed to enhance students’ concentration in studies while also guiding them toward achieving mental balance through practices such as meditation and mindfulness.
Adding a psychological perspective, Dr. Sibi, Head of the Department of English, highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between the mind, brain, and body. He stressed that mental well-being is as important as physical health and plays a vital role in academic success and overall personality development.
Presiding over the program, Dr. Bharat Rathod addressed the students with an inspiring message, stating that success is largely determined by one’s mindset and the direction of thoughts. He urged students to cultivate positivity, strengthen self-confidence, and make effective use of their abilities and opportunities.
The program was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Sharad Meshram, Convenor of The Literary Nexus from the Department of Marathi, and Dr. Swati Madavi, Organising Secretary of the initiative. Their support and involvement contributed to the smooth execution of the event.
The session was skillfully anchored by Ms. Sanjana Das, who maintained a lively flow throughout the program. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Swati Madavi, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, dignitaries, organizers, and students. The success of the program was also supported by the dedicated efforts of student office bearers, including Khushi Ghule, Kahal Pustode, Sanjana Das, Krish Drugkar, Trupti Meshram, and Ujamana Sheikh.
